Grissettown Longwood Inflatable Fire Safety House

Grissettown-Longwood Fire & Rescue is a rural, nonprofit fire and rescue department located in Brunswick County, North Carolina. We provide fire, rescue and first responder services to a 30 square mile district. We also provide heavy and technical rescue functions to a large portion of Brunswick County. We have a limited staff of full and part time employees and a handful of volunteers. As of November 2023, we have responded to over 1,200 incidents.

Within our primary fire district we provide fire prevention to; two elementary schools, a private school and a local head start. Along with several fall festivals, we assist neighboring departments with festivals and another elementary school. The total number of students we work with for fire prevention is approximately 1,500 students.

We would like to purchase an inflatable fire safety house to enhance our fire prevention education program for the students and general public as well. This interactive safety house would give us the opportunity to teach kids about kitchen safety, stay low, stop, drop and roll, get out stay out, and etc... This inflatable house will be more portable, user friendly and eye catching to make teaching fun for everyone.
