Gritty City Theatre Company Fundraiser

Hey there Gritty City-zens! The Gritty City Theatre was born in 2019 founded by Melissa Murray-Mutch , Jason Thompson and J.R. O' Handley at the Hamilton Fringe Festival with their production of David Auburn's "Lost Lake" . In 2021 we produced our first Digital Exclusive for the Hamilton Fringe called, "Hammered". Since then we made another film "Hammered 2.0" as well as a teaser for a horror film "Devil's Night" inspired by the fires in Detroit in the 1980's. We also begun researching and workshopping of written theatrical monologues and plays for our collective "The Canadian Slavery Project"! Our mission is to theatrically explore the lives of enslaved Black people in Canada during the 18th Century. Your donation will go to emerging writers here in Hamilton and the GTA who will research and develop stories in the form of monologues, spoken word, short and full length plays. We continue to expand by offering workshops!! We're here to help your business with "Stage to Success: Improv for Business Communication" and "Be Set Ready" film industry workshops.
