Lahaina Firefighter family

Donation protected
Lahaina firefighter family Jonny Varona and Aina Kohler lost their home and businesses this week in the tragic Lahaina fire. Aina’s family also lost their home.

Jonny played defensive tackle for the University of Montana Grizzlies from 2000-2005 and was an integral part of the 2001 national championship team. Aina, a Lahaina native, was a star athlete in high school and college. Together they have become an integral part of the local youth athletic development which includes Aina’s surf school and other after school programs.

Jonny and Aina are both fire fighters on Maui and have been on the front lines in the fight against these catastrophic wildfires that have decimated Maui. In the process, their home, along with their surf school and cafe they started were burned to the ground.

Jonny and Aina have lost nearly everything. All they have left is their family. If you’re able, please consider contributing to this fund to help Jonny, Aina, and their two children Kimo and Kini get back on their feet.

Thank you!
