Help Feed Hungry Kids

Thousands of kids across The U.S. go to sleep hungry each night, and while that may be an extremely somber thought, what if you had the chance to help put an end to this tragedy? What if all it took was a simple donation to make sure a child is able to fall asleep with a full stomach? 

 

Small acts of kindness matter. 

 

Hi, we're a group of students at Grand Valley State University and we're looking for help from our friends and family to stomp out childhood hunger in our local community. Currently enrolled in our Capstone course at the Seidman College of Business, our undergraduate career is quickly coming to an end but we've decided to leave a lasting impression on the community that has helped shape us over the years. And what better way to leave a lasting impact than through a friendly competition with our fellow classmates?

 

Our goal is to raise 1000$ within a week, and donate it to a charity of our choice. Having come from various backgrounds and walks of life, our team finally decided on a cause that truly meant something to all of us. 100% of the donations received from this campaign will be given to the charity Kids' Food Basket - An organization dedicated to "Attacking Childhood Hunger". Kid's Food Basket was founded with humble beginnings, starting out by feeding 125 students daily with their "Sack Supper" program, and growing to providing meals to over 7000 kids each weekday in West Michigan. 

 

While their success has been amazing, with the summer break beginning many students are now home from school for the summer, and do not have access to the Free and Reduced price school meals many of them relied on. Which means the odds are once again stacked against Kid's Food Basket. 

 

That's where we come in. We - the members of Team Spacepants, are turning to our friends and family to help us make life a little better for kids who truly need it. Any donation matters, regardless of size.
