Grow Pleasant Playground Community Garden

Help us grow and sustain the Pleasant Playground Community Garden!

We are excited to launch our 2024 fundraising campaign to support the expansion and enhancement of our community garden in two key areas!

1) Expand our reach by making food available through the installment of a COMMUNITY FRIDGE. Community Fridges are a mutual aid resource that helps combat food insecurity. Anyone who needs food will have access to what we have on hand, it's always free and available 24/7!

2) We are seeking to purchase an enclosed trailer to convert over into a mobile cooler. The cooler will be used to keep our produce fresh post-harvest.

- Increased Food Accessibility: Your donation will help us install a community fridge and a mobile cooler, allowing us to store surplus produce and distribute it to those facing food insecurity.

- Sustainability: By reducing food waste and ensuring that all harvested produce remains fresh, we are contributing to a more sustainable and equitable food system.

- Mail: Send your contribution via check or money order to 6757 Chew Avenue Philadelphia, PA, 19119. Make payable to Pleasant Advisory Council and must include “Community Garden: your name” in the memo field.

- In-Person: Drop by our garden during [1pm and 6pm] to make a donation in person and learn more about our initiatives.
