Growing Blankets From Ben
Donation protected
When I started Blankets From Ben, I hoped a few people might feel lead to donate a blanket or two they’d made to offer comfort to parents who are facing the darkest moment of their lives. Before I knew it, there were boxes of blankets being delivered to my front porch from people across the country. When I was saying my last goodbye to my son before he saved five lives with his organs, I was given a blanket through the efforts of another mother who had lost her son. I was told that I could “tuck my son in one last time”. I clung to that blanket through many darkest times. It was a connection to him. This is my way of keeping Ben’s light shining. At the time that blanket was given to me, I didn’t think I would survive. But the mother who provided that blanket had survived. Maybe I would, too. I want to give that hope to others. We have expanded from South Carolina to Tennessee and may be in Washington state soon, too! But growing costs money. We are at a point where we need to formalize some things and apply for our 501(c)(3). This costs money and we need to pay an attorney to ensure that we are setting things up correctly. If you feel lead to help us further our mission of comforting grieving parents, please consider donating. Thank you from the bottom of this mama’s heart.
