Growing Healthy Veterans Serve the Community

Growing Healthy Veterans is on the cusp of being able to help transform the City of North Chicago go from a food desert to a food security beacon. We've received a large sum from the state of Illinois to build our garden. In order to accept that grant, we urgently need to provide administrative funds to secure the state funding. Help us ensure the gardens remain open and thriving through the winter. Your help will enable the launching of our phase II expansion, bringing more free garden plots to the city, plus healthy veggies and fruit into residents' kitchens.

Growing Healthy Veterans is a 501c3 charitable organization that engages our active and retired military members in therapeutic horticulture and service to the community.
