Growing Rescue Campaign

Wild by Nurture is a 100% volunteer run, 501c3 nonprofit wildlife rescue. We rescue, rehabilitate, and release hundreds of wildlife every year. We also provide permanent sanctuary to wildlife who have been deemed unable to return to the wild due to the severity of their injuries. Our permanent wildlife residents help us to educate the public about the importance of peacefully coexisting with our wild neighbors and how to prevent common issues with wildlife. We offer invaluable internship opportunities to both high school/college students and the community. We currently do all of this out of our founder's home, but the rescue has very much outgrown our current space. We desperately need to expand our space so that we can continue to rescue wildlife.

Due to human activity, wildlife need our help more then ever. The number of wildlife coming into care each year has increased exponentially.

Thanks to a generous donor we have been able to purchase the perfect property for our dedicated wildlife center. The land and existing buildings are perfect for us to grow into and adapt to our needs! The outbuildings and land give us the spaces we need to build enclosures for the thousands of wild patients who will come through our doors. The main building will allow us to set up a medical/critical care room (with incubators, oxygen chamber, etc.), a large nursery for orphaned babies, a laundry space, and a good sized kitchen to store and prep never-ending wildlife meals!

Our fundraising goal is $100,000 to get our center prepared to intake wildlife and meet the growing needs of native NY wildlife. This will allow us to finish the outbuildings and build 20 plus indoor and outdoor enclosures (15k). 8 ft fencing and run-in shelter for fawns (20k), an RVS space for raccoons, skunks, and bats (10k). Critical care space with medical equipment and more incubators (8k), isolation space for contagious diseases including stainless steel enclosed caging (4k), second sanitation/food prep space for the outdoor spaces (5k). Commercial laundry set up and additional freezers for food set up (5k). Flooring and finishing of multiple spaces (10k). A water filtration system to get rid of clay and sulfur ($10k). And many other items needed for our upcoming busiest time of the year. Please help if you can and share. No amount is too small and any amount makes a difference. There is no government funding for wildlife rehabilitation so we rely solely on donations to do this important work. Our supporters make all of this possible; we truly could not save these precious lives without all of you!
