Hello all!
As many of you know we are a foster family and after the holidays we are looking to open our home again for another kiddo. We are reaching out for a little help to fund this endeavor because we need to redo our current spare room to accommodate two tween girls. We need to redo the entire room and get new beds to work with our space to create a cozy section for each girl. Beds are not cheap and neither are mattresses, sheets, dressers, wardrobes, and other things we need to make this dream a reality. We are asking for a bit of help so we can furnish the room and open our home to another kiddo at the start of the new year. We appreciate any help you are able to offer and thank you so much for your contribution to this room redesign. For full transparency, below is a list of what we’re using the funds for:
- 2 loft beds
- mattress
- bed sheets
- duvet covers
- wardrobe
- storage bins (room storage is key)
- room divider (creating individual space for each girl)
- 2 desk chairs
- 2 bunkie boards
- 2 area rugs
- pillows
- dresser
- 2 beanbag chairs
- mattress protector
- duvet inserts
- wall sconces
- string lights
- hamper
- alarm clock
- whiteboard/corkboard (for personalizing space)
- bathroom storage (2 moms and 2 tween girls using one bathroom lol)
- toothbrush (we all have matching electric toothbrush so new kiddo gets one too)
- new kiddo welcome basket (includes toiletries, blanket, snacks, plushie, pajamas, etc.)
- clothes and shoes (unfortunately kiddos come to new homes without much of anything)
- dining room chairs (time to bring back the dining room table!)
