The GROW campaign is a grassroots fundraising effort to enrich the lives of underprivileged youth through afterschool learning programs.  These programs include music and art instruction as well as sustainable gardening techniques.

Music programs include lessons in guitar, bass, piano, vocals, percussion, horn and wind instruments, as well as music production and theory.

Art instruction includes painting, drawing, pottery, crafts, mixed mediums, and other upcycling and recycling creations.

Gardening / Sustainability includes lessons in seeding, planting, composting, watering, pruning, fertilizing, and urban homesteading activities as well as nutrition.

Programs focus on youth ages 5-18 with family household  annual income levels below $40,000.

The creative arts engage children across all domains: cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical.  According to the National Endowment for the Arts, students with access to the arts were three times more likely to succeed academically then those without.  Research shows that exposure to the arts can help teens develop many positive skills and capacities that are valued by leaders and employers such as: persistence, collaboration, creative thinking, problem solving, motivation, confidence, self-esteem, and empathy.

According to a report from Colorado Creative Industries, there are more than 28,000 students currently attending Colorado schools where no formal art instruction is offered.  In the same study, 35% of schools reported budget restrictions.

CONTRIBUTIONS ARE UNRESTRICTED.
However, please consider these following funding levels as a guide to choosing your individual gift:

$51-$100 Enrichment for 1 student  $10 off any lesson

$100-$500 Enrichment for 2 students 2 private lessons

$501 & up Enrichment for 4 students 10 private lessons (This level includes an instrument $50 value)
