Help my family Evacuate the Ongoing Crisis in Gaza

Donation protected
Hey everyone,

My name's Sadeen Al Jabour, and I’m reaching out from Khan Yunis in Palestine. I’ve been back and forth about asking for help, but things have gotten really tough. I’m in a spot where there aren't many options left to keep my family and myself safe. It’s scary not knowing what tomorrow might bring, but I’m holding onto hope that I can give my family a chance for a better life, just like anyone else deserves.

We used to have this amazing home full of love and happy memories. It was a peaceful life, and we had dreams—simple ones like raising a family and owning a car. But then, the war hit us hard. It took our home, my husband's car (which was how we made our money), and left us with nothing.

After we lost our home, my family also got displaced. It was a nightmare when a bomb took 15 of our relatives. We tried to find safety, moving from school shelters in Khan Yunis to a tent in Rafah. But imagine trying to keep warm in December with hardly any blankets. To top it off, the bad food and conditions got us sick with Hepatitis A.

Ever since this war on Gaza started, we’ve been forced to move three times because of all the fighting. Everything’s gone—no food, no water, no basic stuff we need to live. It feels like we’ve been stripped of everything that makes life normal.

Every night, I’m terrified it might be the last time I’m with my family. All I want is to keep them safe from this endless nightmare.

We attempted to escape Rafah to Egypt, and the only company facilitating travel was "Ya Hala." However, the coordination fees were exorbitant – $5000 for adults and $2500 for children. Due to the impacts of the war, we couldn't gather this amount. Therefore, I implore you to assist us in evacuating myself and my family to safety.

As of now, I have a total of 13 remaining family members stuck in Gaza, living in tents in dire conditions beyond imagination.

So, here I am, asking for your help amidst the sound of bombs. I dream of living peacefully with my family, like everyone else does. This is my plea to you all.

Your support, no matter how small, can truly save us. It could help me and my family find safety. This is my last hope, my last message, asking for a bit of humanity to reach us here.

Thank you so much for even reading this. If you can’t donate, just sharing our story means a lot. Your support is everything to us right now.

With all my heart,
Sadeen Al Jabour
