Tony, Keisha, and Becca Grubb are in immediate need! They are at risk of homelessness.
Dreama is a hard working mom who is well-loved by her children and fiance. On April 29, she was rushed to the hospital after a fall and disorientation. The doctors found that she had a severe, life threatening infection and dangerously low blood pressure. They operated immediately, and the doctors removed a majority of her stomach and intestines that were destroyed by the infection. Dreama remains sedated in the ICU for now, and she has many months, maybe up to two years, of intensive wound care and healing ahead of her. She won't see her home for a long time, but she needs a place to return to.
Dreama has three young adult children: a high school student, a college student, and a part-time working 20-year-old. These children are now responsible for paying a mortgage, property taxes, utilities, and medical expenses on top of all the bills they already pay for themselves.
Tony, Keisha, and Becca could use as much help as anyone is willing to give. Five thousand will cover the new expenses that have fallen on the family for just a few months. There are many many more expenses to come after that. They could also use help traveling to the hospital (especially with gas) and with meals.
Any amount that weighs on your heart will help. There's no amount too small--even $5 can mean the difference between the kids visiting their mom for a day and missing her.
Tony, Dreama's college-aged son, is her Power of Attorney, and he will be paying all the bills. If you know Tony, you know he's an extremely responsible young man who has the love and support of his church to help him manage this responsibility.
