Love for Locking! F#$@ Cancer!

February 2016, one of Tacoma's favorite friends, Jason Locking, was diagnosed with late-stage pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing chemo, radiation, homeopathic and MMJ therapy treatments in conjunction with each other.

For the past six years, Jason has been working his ass off to follow his passion for cooking, soaking up as much culinary knowledge and skill as he could. Moving through the ranks of the industry, he recently attained the position of Sous Chef in Seattle at a well-reviewed, high end hotel restaurant.

Fortunately he has medical insurance, yet there is still considerable cost accrued with these treatments as insurance just doesn't come close to covering most of it. Jason is also unable to work during this time due to the physical strains of these treatments, so his only current income is a small portion of his regular pay in the form of a short-term disability check.

Jayme has had to take time off of work and will no doubt continue to need to do so in order to be there for Jason. Seeing that she is currently the sole provider, this is obviously taking its toll financially.

Jason is a very loving and giving soul; an amazing culinarian, musician, snow and skate enthusiast and friend. We're hoping that with the combined efforts of the beautiful people of Tacoma and beyond, whether you know him personally or not, we can give a little back. While dealing with such devastating circumstances, it is not fair to have to stress about where money for rent, prescriptions, treatments etc. is going to come from.

Both Jayme and Jason are generous, giving, loving, caring friends and the first to give to others and help when needed. Let's come through for them the same way that they would for us and declare an overwhelming FUCK CANCER! Please share and share and share. <3
