DREAM MAKERS WANTED
We are a U.S. Senior Ice Dance team aiming to qualify for the 2022, if not the 2018, Winter Olympics. While our success is dependent on our grit, determination, skill and the ability to perform consistently well under pressure, it is also critically dependent on having the money to meet our training and competition expenses. There are no half way measures in training on the road to the top.
Our annual training and competition expenses are currently approaching $120,000 a year not including basic living, college tuition or other expenses. The fact is, we are financially challenged athletes suffering from a resource gap between what our family can bear, the small grants we receive, and the money needed to meet all our training and competition expenses. We struggle to get by and we are not ashamed to say so or to ask for your help. We’ve got what it takes in all respects to climb to the top, but without additional financial support (without you), the top can vanish in plain sight.
Right now we need to raise $6,500 to help meet expenses for new skates and the last two upcoming competitions of the season: the U.S. Eastern Sectional Figure Skating Championships in Raleigh, North Carolina (November 19-22) and the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina (January 19-25).
To raise $6,500 quickly, we need your help! Please support us by making a donation, in whatever amount you can, large or small, to our Athlete Training Fund here at GoFundMe today. You can use your credit or debit card, and it’s easy, fast, and secure. Each and every donation is appreciated greatly and acknowledged by us personally.
And please spread the word. Share this post, or simply copy and paste the announcement below as your status on Facebook:
