Beirut Emergency Relief
Donation protected
As you might have seen in the news, earlier today a massive explosion occurred in Beirut. At the time of this writing, there have been more than 132 deaths and 5,000 injuries. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed and thousands have been damaged.
We take evaluating NGOs very seriously, and are exploring all options to ensure that they deploy funds as effectively and prudently as possible to those in need. All funds will be distributed to verified & vetted NGOs that directly assist with the impact of the explosion that occurred in the port area of Beirut on 4 August 2020.
We will continue to keep you updated as we identify the right NGOs, but for now, we would appreciate your confidence in us stepping in to support the country we love and cherish. What we know now is that the country needs financial support for medical relief, food, shelter and reconstruction.
On behalf of the Lebanese family and friends,
Khalid, Dima, Lynn, Carl D., Alix, Roy, Carl Z., Marc, Steve (Stanford GSB '17, ‘18, ‘19, ‘20, and ‘21)
