Baby Daniel fund

Hi, my name is Chaina and I along with my family are fundraising for my sister Danyel, and brother in law Maison. On Thursday, November 9 they became first time parents and welcomed their handsome baby boy- Daniel Keith into the world. On Friday, November 10 baby Daniels oxygen levels dropped. A decision was quickly made to transport him via ambulance to OHSU - Doernbecher Childrens Hospital. Upon arrival and after testing they discovered that Daniel was born with a backwards heart and a valve that is too small. It was said that this happens to 1 in every 200,000 babies born. Once he gains enough strength, he will undergo heart surgery within the next week. The doctors have a positive outlook and say Daniel will come out of this bump in the road to continue to live a long healthy life. Daniel will have a 3 week recovery in the hospital after surgery, and another 3+ weeks of downtime once home.

The Ronald McDonald house is full until November 28 so Maison and Danyel are having to stay in hotels to be near their little guy. Our hope is to raise funds to take the financial burden off Maison and Danyel for their hotel stays, fuel, food, and hopefully additional time off work so they can be by their sons side.
