Adam’s Family Fund

On Thursday, April 28, 2022, Adam Holyoak passed away very unexpectedly at just 33 years old. He left behind his wife, my sister, Autumn, who is absolutely devastated, his seven year-old son, Anekin, who was his best friend, and my nine year-old niece who they had taken in after she lost her own mother.

Many of you remember Adam and Autumn who lived on Orcas Island for nearly ten years. Before that, they were both members of the Hood River/Dalles community.

Adam was the main breadwinner of the family, as Autumn focused on making a home for him and for their small children. In addition to grieving the loss of the love of her life, and her person, who she had been with since the age of 16, she now has the grueling task of raising their son and our niece, who are also struggling to cope with this unimaginable tragedy. There are so many steep medical bills that Autumn now faces, as well as the high costs associated with suitable child care while she searches for full-time employment.

Several people have reached out asking how they can help, so after deep consideration, I elected to start this GoFundMe. My sister is the most selfless and generous person that I know, and would offer the shirt off of her back for anyone in need, despite her having nothing. I know that tragedy often instills cohesiveness, and that this community is already so kind and tight-knit.

Anything you can donate to alleviate any amount of fear or uncertainty for my sister and her family is so indescribably appreciated. Please keep them and Adam’s family in your prayers.
