Support Amanda's Family After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
On Saturday, December 21st, 2024, the family got called in for my sister Amanda Reeve. They found a blood clot in her Superior mesenteric artery, and when they took her into surgery to remove the clot, they discovered that the clot had cut off blood flow to her intestines, and both small and large intestines were dead. She was put on life support long enough for the family to say their goodbyes. Amanda passed on 12/22/24 leaving behind not only her two daughters, ages 20 and 12, but also a fiancé Ross Chip Bay, and the rest of her family, including her mother, Tammy Woods, father, Ronald Reeve Sr, two sisters, Sondra and Jessica, and a little brother Ronnie Reeve Jr. This was completely unexpected and has put the family in a difficult situation. Not only are we mourning our loss, but we are also worried about how to pay for her services financially. We are asking for whatever help we can get so our family can deal with our loss. Thank you everyone.
A clot in the superior mesenteric artery (SMA), also known as a SMA clot, is considered a rare occurrence, with estimates placing its prevalence at around 0.1% of the population, meaning it affects a very small number of people; this is often associated with a condition called "acute mesenteric ischemia" which is also considered uncommon and potentially life-threatening if not treated promptly.
