Gigi's Medical Bills

Hi, my name is Hope. I am starting this page to raise funds for my dog, Gigi. My mom and I were advised to take Gigi to the Pet ER on Wednesday (2/15). Our vet told us she is a full-blown diabetic and js experiencing ketoacidosis and possibly Cushing's Disease. Both her electrolyte and blood sugar levels are all out of place. Her electrolytes plummeted due to her increased urination and her blood sugar skyrocketed to 302 (normal canine levels are between 64-114). She was admitted on 2/15 at the ER to possibly stay 3-5 days. They have started her on intravenous fluids and electrolytes as well as inserting a PICC line for bloodwork, completing x-rays due to an inflamed pancreas, and starting her on insulin. Sometime between November and now, she has flown straight into full-blown diabetes and her health had been slowly deteriorating over time, but we did not imagine it could become this bad. The good news is, with these treatments, Gigi will be okay.

We would appreciate any donations and support for Gi. If you know us personally, you know how lovable and sweet Gigi is and how passionate and caring we are toward her. All funds will be used for medical expenses (such as her ER stay and all care she receives while there). These expenses are very high and are not something we expected or have dealt with before.
