Fundraising for Chemotherapy

Linda was diagnosed with bowel cancer last autumn. After having numerous rounds of gruelling chemo she has now exhausted all NHS options.

However there is still one type of chemo which has shown to have promising results in studies. This chemo called Avastin is available to patients in America and most western countries as a first line treatment. However due to its expensive nature this isn’t available in the uk unless self funded. This chemo costs £2000 per one infusion. Costing £4000 per month. we are hoping to raise enough for 5 months and try and fund the rest as a family for as long as possible.

Unfortunately NHS options are very limited for cancer and there is a huge lack of information and options for patients.

This chemo means life and death and Linda is determined to see her young granddaughter grow up and spend more time with her husband and family. She’s not ready to give up yet.
