Justice for Jeff

On February 19th at roughly 6 PM in Vero Beach Florida, our father, Jeffrey Simmons had his life violently taken from him by his short-term girlfriend, Donna Smith.
Our dad was a knight in shining armor. A Sergeant Major in the National Guard. A 6th degree black belt, a cancer survivor, a leader in his community. A friend and an ally to all that knew him. A loving father and husband. Served and survived 3 deployments and came home every time and loved us all the same. His strength was unmatched, which makes this all the more difficult to grasp. There will never be another man like him.
In this nightmare of a week, my siblings and I, have found ourselves with so many responsibilities we never thought to equip ourselves to be able to handle.
Due to the nature of his death, commuting back and forth from PA to FL will become a frequent occurrence for us until all legal matters are attended to and closed - which could take a great deal of time unfortunately, and result in an abundance of travel fees and lost wages. Times are hard for EVERYONE, and nobody is prepared to be able to financially or emotionally handle a situation like this, so please excuse us as we ask for help while we fight to get justice for our father. If there’s anything you can do, whether it’s donating to this cause, sharing this link or just saying my dad’s name in your prayers - please do it.
We need all the help we can get.

I’ve attached some photos and some of his accolades below so you have a better idea of knowing the kind of man we lost.
