Help Nikki get back on her feet

Hi everyone, I’m happy to be fundraising to cover medical expenses for my friend of 20 years, Nikki Lovato. Nikki was traveling home on the evening of September 20th when she was in a terrible car accident in Belgrade. As a result, she has been living at Maine Med Portland hospital/ rehabilitation center; she is recovering from massive internal bleeding, 10 blood transfusions, a completely reconstructed bladder, shattered pelvis, broken hip, and broken arm/ elbow. She will be unable to walk for quite some time and the wheelchair she will require, among numerous other very large medical expenses, will need to be paid for out of her own pocket. Being wheelchair bound for quite a few months means she will be unable to work or access her second story apartment. All of this on top of now needing to relocate will be a huge financial burden for someone without insurance or the means to cover day-to-day living costs. Being the type to never rely on anyone or ask for handouts, she is so full of gratitude and humbled by everyone who has already reached out to her and helped out in any way that they can. Even $5 to help her get back on her feet and walking again after surviving this near-death crash is beyond appreciated! She is SO lucky to be alive!
