Help with Dad’s funeral

While doing physical therapy yesterday my dad started to have trouble breathing and then coded. EMTs were able to get him back but he coded again on the way to the hospital. After a total of 45 minutes of CPR and multiple medications to help with his BP the emergency room doctors told us he would most likely not survive the night. They were right, not even 2 hours after that conversation my brother and I sat in the room with him watching his BP, O2 levels, and heart rate slowly drop until he was gone. This was one of the hardest experiences of my life; watching as all the monitors slowing decline until there is nothing left but not being able to look away from them. It is utterly heartbreaking.
Today my brother and I found out that the life insurance policy that my dad had was cancelled last year which leave us to pay for his funeral out of pocket. Money that we don’t have right now.
We appreciate any help we can get at this point. Loosing a loved one is hard especially when it was so unexpected but then finding out that the life insurance you thought was available is gone makes an already stressful situation seem impossible to deal with.
