Kids Do the Craziest Things

Hello everyone. Couper accidentally swallowed some fidget magnets because he had them in his mouth. They stuck together and pinched his small intestines and made a few holes. Monica had to take him to the children's hospital in Denver, Colorado for emergency surgery. He woke up with a huge blister on his heel today and is having to stay longer for wound care and pain management. He also had not been able to have bowel movement since surgery so will be having another CT scan to make sure things are repaired correctly.

She has his brother and sister with her and the hospital only provides meals for Couper. A few family members gave her money to help with food for a few days but it turns out he's going to be there until at least middle of next week. Monica is not able to leave Couper because he's a minor, so she can't go get food and is having to rely on doordash. She has utilized walmart delivery a couple of times for some lunchables and fruits and things of that nature but has no refrigerator or any way to prepare meals so fast food is basically her only avenue. Any funds raised will go towards food and gas money to get back home when he's released.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If anyone is wondering about assistance from the children's hospital, they did provide her with 7 meal cards on Tuesday, but she's feeding 2 children plus herself. Monica's biggest concern is to feed the kids and have gas money to get home.

Update, Couper now has what appears to be an absess on his spine from the epidural. They are monitoring and then doing images. Looks like they will definitely be there most of this next week and possibly longer. Infection in spine has been verified. They will be there longer and Dad was able to come but will be missing a few days of work so the amount of donation has been updated.
