Joe. Where to start with this sweet boy. As family members, we have sat by and watched this sweet boy go from full of life, just pure joy as every 15 month old is to the light sucked right from his eyes. We watched this happen not only to Joe, but to Ang and Joey as parents. The past 4 years they have fought, cried, tried, and given their absolute all. Autism. Inflammation of the brain. And for Joe this has caused him to be non verbal. Words he once had are no longer. Joey and Ang have not heard Joe’s voice say Mom, dad, I love you… as a parent that is beyond heartbreaking. They have committed to helping Joe in every aspect of his life along with their 4 other children. They have began the process of heading down to Dr. Crawford’s NeuroSolution& NeuroRestoration Center in Austin Texas for photobiomodulation(PBM). In simple terms it’s light therapy. PBM uses specific wavelengths of light that interact with a part of the mitochondria called cytochrome c oxidase. This interaction boosts the production of ATP, the energy currency of the cell. By increasing energy production, PBM sets off a chain of biochemical reactions. This includes reducing harmful reactive oxygen species and releasing growth factors that promote healing and regeneration.
Laser therapy helps correct all of the damaged cells, and tissue in the brain and restores it with healthy cell’s to allow the body to heal by reducing this inflammation in the brain and gut.
We as a family want nothing more than to see Joe and the entire Gajda Family thrive. This extensive treatment therapy comes at a very high price point which Joey and Ang are committed to investing in for their Son. As you can imagine they have a road ahead of them that will be mentally, physically, and financially hard. Any amount of money raised for them will be the biggest blessing to helping cover costs of treatment for Joe.
