SUPER MOM AND CHILDREN NEED HELP!
Martha is a very hard working and dedicated mother to her six children; they live in a 2-bedroom apartment in Culmore, Falls Church, Virginia. We have come to know Martha and her wonderful children over the past three years as we became involved with them. We took the children to museums, parks, live theater, and more. We have mentored them emotionally, intellectually, culturally, and have learned so much from them. But now a financial crisis in rent payments looms large in their life.
Martha’s husband was in the USA for more than ten years, working steadily in construction. He was picked up in an immigration sweep at work, and has been deported back to Mexico. The family has lost its main “bread winner.” This has traumatized the children, especially the younger ones. Martha held a part-time job cleaning houses, but the work is now limited due to COVID. Her older son at Justice High School, works part-time to help the family, and will work full time when he graduates in June. The children are all US citizens, so they receive food provisions through government programs. But the family’s critical need is ongoing financial support to help defray the monthly rent and necessities of approximately $2,000 per month for at least the next six months.
Until June 2021, donations are being sought (about $12,000.) to assist in paying the rent. We are asking for your help. Please make a donation. Tell a friend or family member that you made a donation for them as a gift. Give a gift from you to warm your own heart. We and our society will flourish when we plant good will. Any contribution that you make, large or small, will diminish the financial burden on this family. Please contact us about the GoFundMe Drive. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated!
