Guan Family Hurricane Harvey Relief

Everything had to be left behind. The photo above is from Sunday, August 27. By Monday, the entire sign was covered.
Becky, my oldest and dearest childhood friend moved to Houston several years ago. As I write this in the comforts of my home, Hurricane Harvey forced Becky, her husband Tony, their 4-month old son, and their dog to evacuate their home on August 28, 2017.
Their lives were turned upside down overnight. You'd never think that you'd wake up one day having to ask to be rescued via a Facebook post.
Imagine carrying your infant son and your beloved dog as you're trying to flag down a boat in water that's 4 feet high while only standing a couple of inches above 5 feet tall.
Luckily, amazing volunteers on a harrowing effort, coming all the way from Florida, rescued them and brought them to a nearby shelter by boat.
They had to leave what they owned behind. In addition to being forced out of their home, their cars were completely submerged.
To protect against fraud, GoFundMe has asked that I detail my relationship to Becky. My name is Carrie Liang and I live in San Francisco, CA. I have known Becky for nearly exactly 22 years now, she has been my friend since Kindergarten. We grew up together and she is like a sister to me. She is 9 months younger than me, but she's always looked after me like an older sister.
Becky is one of the most hardworking people I know and has worked tirelessly to build a life for herself from a young age. It breaks my heart that everything she's worked so hard for was taken away overnight. All funds raised will go directly to Becky and go towards helping her and her family replace the possessions they've lost. Funds will directly be disbursed to Becky and her family and will be used to help them replace things that they've lost. Your contribution will help them kick-start rebuilding their lives. Please help, any amount big or small helps and will be greatly appreciated!

Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to help in any other way.
Thank you!!!
