Guatemala VISION Trip

Hello!! My name is Krista Braegelmann a current senior student at the University of St. Thomas! Last year I was blessed to be given the opportunity to travel with a group known as VISION (Volunteers in Service Internationally or Nationally) through our campus ministry. I went to the Navdanya Farm in India and had the experience of a lifetime. Learning through VISION's six components of cultural exchange, service, simplicity, spirituality, community, and justice issues, I was given an opportunity that has forever changed my life. The people I met both in my group as well as at the site we visited have touched my heart in ways that could never have been done before. Working together on the farm, taking care of our land, with no technology or motorized tools, and building a community.

This year I have been given the chance to repeat this learning/growing experience in San Lucas, Guatemala working alongside people of the area and become one with the community!
