Guettler Family Recovery Assitance

Donation protected
Ryan Guettler is known as a Professional BMX freestyle legend to most, but he and his wife Kelsey Guettler are known to me and many others as more than friends, but as family.

Recently Ryan has fallen victim to the dark realities of mental health.

The past couple years have been full of light and dreams coming to fruition for the couple. They just recently moved back to North Carolina and bought a house together with hope to pursue new opportunities and the dream of starting a family. They have also had to deal with the stresses of a transitioning professional BMX career for Ryan, repercussions from his various physical injuries and a very stressful lawsuit with a previous sponsor.

The incidents that occurred on June 10th, 2020 are very serious and are not being taken lightly by his family and all that are involved or have been affected. This all came out of nowhere. We are unsure what you may have heard through local media outlets, web pages, social media etc., but we can assure you that most of this is false and based solely on rumor or hearsay. The family wants to let everyone know what happened and to be fully transparent. At this time Ryan and his family are in no place to come forward with a complete statement as they are putting his health and treatment first. We want to give Ryan the grace to face all of you in his own way and in his own time.

All of this being said the medical treatment he is voluntarily committing to is a financial burden that no one should have to bear in a crisis like this. Please know that your donations would be directed to his treatment and future treatments, as well as towards all other costs that have developed due to this very disheartening situation.

This whole thing could have been much worse. We as a community of family, friends, fans and everyone else need to ensure that it does not get to that point.

Please be thoughtful during these tough times and know that a monetary donation is not all that is needed. Love and your prayers that we can all get through this together are equally crucial.

Thank you for your love and support.
