Guilian Farm Disaster
Donation protected
Late Sunday night on May 26, 2019 the Guilian farm warehouse located on South Lima Road in Livonia, New York caught fire and was burned to the ground. One fire fighter at the scene described it as a complete loss. This large warehouse is where they stored everything including their tractors, processing equipment, trucks, etc.. Everything was destroyed!
In case you are unfamiliar with the Guilian farm, run by Joe and Larry Guilian, this is a family run farm that has been in the family for a couple of generations. If you are from the area, then you don't need to be told how kind and generous the Guilian brothers are. They are the kind of people that help everyone and now they need your help.
Unfortunately, they need that help now. The cost of the damages are extensive and insurance never covers everything. And, due to the consistently wet weather this year, they have not been able to plant their crops. To make matters worse their planting seed was destroyed in the fire. They need fiscal support immediately so they can buy new seed and a tractor for the planting season. Additionally, they will need processing equipment and new trucks.
While money is the best way to help the Guilian brothers get back on their feet as quickly as possible, if you are a farmer that can help out, from lending equipment to contacting them to offer a hand, that would be greatly appreciated as well. While it is difficult to ask for help, there are few people that are more deserving of it than Joe and Larry Guilian.
