Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS)

Hi my name is Darlene and I’m raising money for my sons girlfriend Brittani who is suffering from a very rare autoimmune syndrome called Guillain-barre syndrome (GBS).It’s extremely rare and comes on very rapidly. The body starts attacking the nerves and causes paralysis in the extremities, breathing difficulties, etc. it has progressed rapidly, causing her to aspirate and be put into a ventilator. After which time she developed pneumonia due to fluid in her lungs. She can communicate through squeezing our hands. She is in the ICU and will be for weeks.  

After spending 4 days at the Elliot in Manchester, She was airlifted to Mass Generals neurology ICU. I will be posting updated as they happen. She’s only 19 years old.
