Honor Guirlain Lumose: Please help us celebrate his life

I am raising funds for the funeral of my childhood friend Guirlain Lumose. He passed away on July 22nd from a heart attack in the hospital. We need your help to cover his funeral expenses and to support his mother in returning back to New York. Yolande is now left without any family in California. Lain was her only child, and she has dementia, requiring specialized care in a facility.

Lain was my first friend when I moved to Queens in 1985. We shared countless memories together, from playing in the neighborhood to taking trips . Despite facing significant health challenges, including diabetes and the need for dialysis, Lain remained optimistic and always had a smile on his face. Lain used to always say “quitting is not an option”. He was the kind of person who would give you his last dollar and lend a helping hand whenever needed.
