Help Andrei beat Cancer

Hello, my name is Gabi. Many of you know Andrei, my boyfriend. Who I take care of on a daily basis, he is 22 years old philosophy student, we work in restaurants to pay for our university expenses and daily living

On September 15, 2022, he was diagnosed with cancer, stage III classical Hodgkin lymphoma. Throughout these six months we have put our lives on pause, including education, to complete 12 sessions of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the positron emission tomography (PET) scan he had at the end of that treatment showed that new cancerous tumors were created in the treatment process. This makes his case much more complicated and his new diagnosis is primary refractory Hodgkin lymphoma.

The chemo treatment entails episodes where Andrei needs permanent accompaniment, from a person who is not exposed to the flu, infections or other endemic diseases. We are now finishing our salvage chemo and immunotherapy treatment, but after that he will be a candidate for a bone marrow transplant, which will require us to move to another city for 4 months (the procedure and his recovery) to undergo the treatment and live near the facility for procedures and in case of emergencies.

As we have been out of work for most of this due to care and disease and treatment restrictions our savings are drying up. As his partner, I wish I could give him everything he needs to go through this, unfortunately love is not enough to beat cancer. So I am here today to ask or your help, we would appreciate any kind of support you can give us. The funds raised through this fundraiser will be used to pay for medical bills, rent, and food for the months we will be living in Baltimore and the next 6 months when Andrei and I will be able to return home, but me and him will still be too immunocompromised to work in person.
