Gunnedah Floods: Please Help Local Family
Donation protected
This is a fundraiser for a local family whose house was inundated with floodwater. They have 4 kids, including two boys who require additional care and support. Please donate if you can!
The Edmunds are an amazing family in Gunnedah. They are best known for their go-hard attitude and they radiate positive vibes when you bump into them in the street.
Sadly, the floods have ruined the family home that they have worked so hard for many years to improve. They managed to save what they could but the flood waters took many of their possessions, including some irreplaceable ones.
Nevertheless, they remain forever positive and are getting to work with the clean-up. With flood insurance unaffordable, they are now working to repair the damage as best they can.
This fundraiser is to help with the costs of re-building their house and re-establishing their lives.
Erin and Mick are full time carers for their eldest son, Brandon who, like his younger brother has a rare MECP2 chromosome disorder. They have been supporting Brandon throughout his cross-country endeav
ours for which he is acclaiming a huge fan base! Brandon is an outgoing guy with a great sense of humour and always up for a chat. Erin and Mick regularly take the whole family on adventures to different running events across Australia.
Max, their second is a bit of a larrikin, always smiling with a wide grin! He attends G S Kidd Memorial School for Special Purpose with my daughter which is how I came to know this great family. He is kind-hearted and enthusiastic. The family are a valuable part of our school community.
Georgie is the family’s rock who is very mature and acts as a third adult in the house. Georgie keeps her brothers out of trouble and cares for her younger sister. She is a great cook and even does the family shopping!
Sienna loves running! With her small stature and massive heart, she is an inspiration with her mental toughness. Sienna is very affectionate to her brothers and looks up to her big sister.
This family would never ask for financial assistance, but I am sure there are many people who would like to help and are not sure how. I know what a difference some extra assistance through Go Fund Me can make and I hope that friends, family and the wider community can come together to lend a hand to this family who is so deserving of our support.
Thanks,
