Gunner Holland Medical Recovery

Update!!

Oh my goodness! Thank you for all of the love and support you guys are showing for Gunner and the Holland family. They are so loved and they are feeling it and overwhelmed! Just a little update.

From Samantha....

Today marked the 72 hour mark where the DR’s could determine how Gunner's burns were healing. He suffered from a 2nd degree chemical burn, Dr smith is very pleased on how his burns are healing and gave us the best news possible, Gunner can go home he still has a lot of healing, recovery and physical therapy to do. Gunner is one hell of a tough kid, he’s definitely upset about not going to Fargo BUT this won’t stop his goals for his senior year.

We go back to the specialist on Thursday to check his burns and get a better idea on how often he needs to go back. Please continue to pray for him as it’s still very painful for him

Hi, my name is Brandi, Samantha Holland is my best friend. Her son Gunner had a terrible incident at wrestling camp last week. He is currently in the burn unit at ORMC with alkaline burns. Burns take time to show the severity, so they are still waiting to see if he will need surgery or what the next steps will be. If you know the Holland's, you know that they go out of their way to help anyone with anything. This will be a long recovery process for Gunner and the family. Samantha and David will miss work with appointments and caretaking for Gunner. Please, if you feel that you can, donate to the family for any medical costs and everything else that they will have to provide for Gunner during this time. Gunner is in a lot of pain and he will not be able to wrestle in upcoming events, which is heartbreaking for him.
