Gunshot victim saves another life #OrganDonor DJ

Dear loved ones, I am creating this go fund me, with the heaviest of all hearts, for my 19 year old son David "Deejay" Tauiliili, who's life was taken from us way too soon. Deejay was a very humble young man with a BIG heart, he was extremely giving, talented, funny, intelligent, and a gentle soul. He was such a good kid and would never hurt anyone, he was very empathetic. 

He was tragically shot in the head, August 12, 2019, he was in critical condition and put on life support where he fought for his life for 4 days. He was officially pronounced brain dead on August 15, 2019.

With a heavy heart I made a very tough decision to donate his organs to save anothers life, because I would want the same if the circumstances were reversed. He was kept on life support to preserve the gifts of life for an additional 2 days while we wait for a match. On August 17, 2019, a match was confirmed and we now had to endure yet another painful moment of watching them take my child away to operate and remove his heart and other organs to save the life of others, with this tragedy we are left with exorbitant financial expenses and loss of work due to time taken off to lay my sons body to rest and honor his life, in such a short time, is very overwhelming, physically, mentally and emotionally. This loss has really hurt our entire family, Deejay was the fun, loving, and kind young man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

I am so grateful for the Love, Prayers and Support from family, people who knew Deejay and close friends near and far. My family is grieving the loss of our child as he loved everyone. I Pray and hope someday, I will be able to meet the recipient of my son's Heart of Gold and hear his heart beating again. Please pray and share, God Bless.
