RIP GUY BURCHETT

Donation protected
It is with much heartache that we reach out to all those who knew GUY BURCHETT, and even perhaps to those who may not have known him.

Guy was a devoted Family Man, and a highly regarded Friend and colleague, who was so tragically taken in a workplace accident on Tuesday 22 October 2024.

There are no words to describe the grief and shock that Guy’s Family are experiencing with his sudden loss. Their pain is unfathomable and unimaginable.

Guy was a genuinely great Man. A Man who lived for his Family, who had a playful sense of humour, a smile and laugh that lit up a room, and a heart of pure gold. He touched many lives throughout his years, and would open his door and welcome you into his home at every opportunity. He was by far one of the good ones!

As most of you by now are likely aware of the tragic circumstances surrounding Guy’s passing, we believe no-one is aware of the depth of the stress and grief that his passing will have on his Family, particularly his Wife, Viv going forward.

Guy has been Viv’s strength and support while she has been battling Cancer the past 10 years. She was forced to leave the workforce because of her on-going Chemo treatments in recent years, and Guy continued to work to provide for them both.

Little did they know, or we think anyone knows, that in our Country Life Insurances are so unaffordable, and almost impossible to sustain once you turn 70, which leaves no option but to continue work with insufficient coverage. This was the case with Guy, which has likely left Viv with no compensation for his life that was so tragically taken. She is now being forced to move forward, while not only trying to come to terms with losing the Love of her Life in the worst way possible, but wondering how she is going provide for herself financially, with no income, and no compensation for her Husband… a Man who went to work one day, and sadly didn’t come home in such tragic circumstances.

For this reason, we reach out to you all...
So many people have left lovely messages of condolences, for which the family are finding comfort, and are eternally thankful.
Many have asked the Family what they can do to help!?

While everyone has their own special memory of Guy, we think all of us can agree that he would wish nothing more than to know his Wife is going to be supported in his passing.

We know Viv would be far too proud to reach out. So, we instead ask that this be your opportunity to support her in her grief, by contributing to this fund-raising page that we have created in Guy’s memory.

If you can spare $1, $5 or $50 to contribute and support Viv, please do so, and know that it would be sincerely appreciated by her and Family.

RIP Guy – You were so Loved and will be forever missed. xx
