Guy Vogel Memorial Fund

Guy was a very stoic person,  who lived an incredibly frugal life.  Much of that was a matter of conscience, some as a matter of circumstance.  His size and health were always unique in the deck that was stacked against him.  His eccentric qualities, his intelligence, his life experience, lent him a unique perspective, and galvanized him as a fringe character in a sometimes complacent and callous world.

Guy had many wonderful stories about being singled out for his size, or about being in the wrong place at the right time or the right place at the wrong time.  He enjoyed the humor and absurdity of life and was able to laugh at some of its darker moments.  Guy was struck by lightning twice and acted like it was no big deal.

In Guy‘s humility, and his adversity to becoming the center of attention, he would never have agreed to creating a page like this.  At the generous request of his co-workers and to our great surprise, we have agreed, in our time of grief,  to accept donations to help with his final arrangements.   These donations will help to reimburse Guy's brother Joshua Vogel & his partner Kelly Zaneto for what they paid for for his final arrangements.
