Having been born 1933 during the Depression, Guy's early farming life was tough. The family left Streak Bay area at the end of the 1930s and moved to Keith SA. After leaving school he started shearing and hay contracting at the same time as developing a scrub block which became and intensive lucerne seed/small seed business using flood irrigation. Guy was a driving force in many areas of agriculture and was one of the main instigators of sellinglivestock on hooks and CALM now Auction Plus. 90 years of a life well lived.
