I was raised on the Navajo Nation in Ft. Defiance, AZ, I have learned how to introduce myself. So I will present my clans in the Navajo Way.

Yá’át’ééh (It is good; welcome; hello) shik’éí dóó shidine’é (my family and my people, friends) Shí éí Gwendolyn yinishyé (I am called Gwendolyn)

In Navajo culture, every person has four clans in the following order: the mother’s first clan, the father’s first clan, the maternal grandfather’s first clan, and the paternal grandfather’s first clan.

Mother's clan bilagáana (white)

Father's clan bilagáana

Maternal grandfather's clan Cajun/French

Paternal grandfather's clan Welsh/Irish/English

Ákót’éego diné asdzáán nishłį (In this way, I am bilagáana woman).

I am raising money for college. I will be attending the University of Arizona in Tuscon, AZ, in the fall of 2020 in the College of Social & Behavioral Science with a major in Political Science. I want to get my BA in Political Science then hopefully go to law school at Duke University in Durham, NC.

I need all the help I can get to help pay for college even if it is a dollar, every dollar or cent will help me. It isn't easy getting through college without debt and taking out loans. I want to have no debt or loans that I will need to pay back when I get out of college. Thank you for your time.
