Gwynaeth's Post-surgery Fund

Hello, my name is Kate Donnelly Powers and a few months ago, I set up this fundraiser for my dear friend, Gwynaeth Atwood-Pettit.  Gwynaeth had been diagnosed with having a tumor on her brain, and surgery for removal was a success! However, it wasn't until after surgery that doctors sprung the news on her that she wasn't out of the woods yet - she needed to have 6 weeks of radiation (which she just finished, hooray!) but now she is prepping for 6 longs months of chemotherapy.

As we know, chemo takes a huge toll on the body.  For the past 20 years Gwynaeth has been a nanny for many local families, providing warm & tender loving care to babies and toddlers so their parents can go to work knowing their child is in good hands.  However this means she is not eligible for State Disability Insurance and she needs financial help again throughout this treatment.

Gwynaeth is a long time single mom and has a daughter, Antonia who is about to finish her second year of college in a remarkable school back east. For all of you who already know Gwynaeth, I don’t have to tell you what a strong and loving person she is.  Gwynaeth has overcome so much throughout the past 2 years but she is truly resilient and learning so much along the way.  It's truly become an enlightening experience for her to say the least.   Please send positive thoughts and prayers her way.  Any donation you can provide is very much appreciated.  If you can't help financially, please share this.  Thank you so much!
