Gwynevere hospital

Hi everyone, thanks for taking time to reading this. Our daughter Gwynevere is 2.5 years old. On June 25th she was in the er for what we thought was just a virus and we went home that night. Unfortunately Gwyn did not improve and continued declining in health. She stopped eating and drinking during the day on Friday the 1st and by Sunday the 3rd when she still refused to eat or drink and was very lethargic Marcus and I made the decision to take her back to the hospital. She was then admitted to childrens hospital and they ran a barrage of tests on her and found out she had gotten E. coli. Normally kids can bounce back from that after a few days in fluids.
That was not the case with Gwyn and her intestines decide they didn’t want to work right anymore and they were stripped of everything good that processes food. So she was still throwing up and having diarrhea. They took her off all food and tried iv nutrition for a couple days then let her try eating again. She still wasn’t about to handle eating food well and started throwing up yet again.
that was a week into our stay at childrens. So Monday the 11th the doctors decided to put a feeding tube down her nose and see how she did while also on the iv nutrition. She was doing ok on her, very small amounts but when they tried to up the amount she started throwing up again. The decision was made yesterday to move her to childrens up in Denver so she could have a picc line put in for her nutrition. She is currently in surgery for that.
the doctors said we may be here for a couple more weeks.
marcus and I are both missing work and now have a 2 hour drive one way for him to come see Gwyn with our two other kids.
money is tight. We expected to be out and back at work this week and that is not happening. Thanks to the generousity of many people we were able to pay our bills this month and the unexpected costs of me being in the hospital with Gwyn(food for me, gas, etc).
I’m asking for help again so we can pay our rent next month. If you are able to help we would appreciate it. Even if you can’t help financially prayers are appreciated.
if she can’t start taking food soon they will have to do surgery to see if they can figure out if something else is going on.
she is very scared and has been very traumatized. It is the worst pain to see your little child in agony and not be able to explain that the doctors are trying to help and hear her crying Over and over “im scare I’m scared”
thank you,
Stephanie
