My cousin Brittany is beautiful, kind, loving, fun, gracious, studious, ambitious, full of life and spirit but most importantly she is the mother of awesome twin boys Jayson and Ryan. She took on the challenge of carrying them to term and succeded and she gave birth to two healthy boys January 27, 2014 She then took on the challenge of raising these beautiful babies as a single mother. Despite all the difficult challenges that have come her way she has succeeded them all, even getting herself back in college for nursing. She prides herself on being as independent as she can.

Now she has been confronted with her biggest challenge yet. Last February, Brittany found out she has Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 3 She immediately went in to her first round of Chemo for 7 months during that time she had a severly swollen lymph node removed and because of that was diagnosed with Lymphedema. Upon completing that round of Chemo new scans showed that it had metastasized in her stomach and groin. She underwent more chemo (Brentuximab) with a plan to receive stemcell treatment once the cancer was gone. However, during this round she reached Stage 4. Now at this present time she has surpassed Stage 4 and is in a phase the doctors describe as "Resistant Phase" Her body has not responded to any of the treatment thus far. She is gearing up in the next few weeks to endure an extremely high dose chemo in the course of three weeks. Two rounds. The side effects are nightmarish: mental instability, halucinations, confusion and could possibly cause long-term effects mentally.  Our biggest hope is that this round of chemo can kill these cancer cells and allow her to have the Stem Cell procedure. Like all the other challenges my beautiful 22 year old cousin has faced she has accepted this challenge as well to succeed and beat this cancer, not only for her, but for her two boys who are only just beginning to know how awesome, couragous and a fighter their mom is who would do anything and everything for them.Your donations will go to the medical expenses of Brittany and help with the care for her boys such as daycare. While she is undergoing these invasive treatments it doesn't leave her with much strength and she will be suffering major side affects from it.
Thank you so much for your support. It means everything to us.
