Help Ken Get On His Feet

I'll be honest right off the bat: there are many causes better than mine, and if you aren't in a place where you can help, please don't. But I'm here because I do still need help. I'm the type of person that would tell you that life hasn't really worked out, but I try to keep smiling and keep positive. I've reached the point in my life where my health, both mental and physical, have caught up with me. Though I'm finally working through much of it, I've accumulated a fair amount of debt trying to keep my mother and I afloat while I've overcome my various problems.

I spent most of 2023 surviving a severe stomach issue that could have killed me. I'm grateful to say I've recovered, even if 2023 was essentially a wasted year and much of my life has had to change as a result. That said, now in my late 30s, my mental health has a long way to go. Things I've endured and survived in my life have rendered me an anxious mess with depression, PTSD, and occasional hallucinations. These have gotten bad enough to render me as considered for disability, but unfortunately, my case is going nowhere, and life has to go on.

The goal here is $10,000. My debt is a little higher than that, but this would pay off a loan that helped my mother and I move when we were forced to two years ago, it would help pay off my credit card, which has been a stopgap for our bills, and it would help pay off the end of life care for my darling Tess, my cat who had been at my side for over a decade until she passed a month ago. I'm not expecting to make it, but every little bit will help.
