'Two men wake up in a prison cell with no idea how they got there. All they have is a stack of board-games and each other. But maybe that’s enough…'
Our long term goal for this project is to secure funding for a feature-length film of the same story and title. Filmmaking is (unfortunately for us!) an art form that is mostly reserved for those with deep pockets.
We operate in an industry that is dominated by big wallets, and often those big wallets invest in what they see as financially safe. This is of course more than understandable, but we are appealing to those who want to pledge their money towards something new, fresh and exciting.
Every influential filmmaker throughout history has become so by standing on the shoulders of those who have had the faith and bravery to financially support their unique vision from day one. To name a few, Wes Anderson's first short film 'Bottle Rocket (short)' was funded entirely by close friends and family, and served as a catalyst for securing the funding for his first feature film of the same title and story. The industry is filled with filmmakers such as Tarantino and Scorsese whose initial short films gave them the platform to go on and achieve great things.
We want to communicate as clearly as we can to investors that your money is being put towards both the furthering of careers as well as the creation of a unique piece of cinema.
On this project, we are looking for investors who just love film.
We want you to be safe in the knowledge that you are pledging your money towards a committed team of young filmmakers who will take every pound of your investment and use it to create the best possible film.
The total goal for this feature is to raise £5000.
This is in order to build the set, pay the crew and ensure that from pre to post-production we are totally covered. Anything over this goal will be pledged towards payment for the cast and entry into film festivals (which is a surprisingly large cost). If things go very well we will also be organising a premier event in which each investor will be given a ticket and a plus one to attend the party and see what their money has been put towards.
This film would not be possible without your generous donations however big or small. Thank you.
