Help Wendy Beat Cancer!

September 2017 (Two weeks before lung removed)
September 7, 2018 (Two day after brain cancer removed)My mom, Wendy Pollard was diagnosed with cancer May 2017.  She was accidentally lost in the system for two months.  By that time her "less than an inch" cancer in her lung went from removing the mass to taking her whole right lung on November 1, 2017.  Wendy did Chemo from January 2018 to the end of March 2018.  Mom had a reaction to the chemo and because of that, her treatments lasted all day instead of a few hours.
In July 2018 mom started to not feel well and by August she was having violent headaches, violent vomiting, blurred vision, slurred speech and an occasional leg twitch (like she was going to kick you).
I tried to get a head scan from the doctor but it took a couple of weeks to get them on board.
Last week of August, they sent my mom to RIH (Royal Inn Hospital), Kamloops for a CT-Scan on her head.  The CT technician came out and escorted us to the ER.  We were told there that Wendy has a tumor in her brain and it is in her sensory section of the brain.
Wendy had surgery on September 5th, the doctor removed the mass.  It ended up being lung cancer in the brain.  We were told that there is a high chance that the cancer will come back and probably in the brain again.
The trips are expensive to go from Vavenby to Clearwater, Vavenby to Kamloops, Vavenby to Kelowna, food and hotel costs.  My parents are retired and on a minimal income.
Wendy now has to travel to Kelowna again to  do radiation treatments to her brain.  The doctor told her without any radiation - 75% chance of re-occurrence, radiation on the section of the brain that the  cancer was in - 50% of re-occurrence and finally, whole head radiation - 15% of re-occurrence.
Wendy can not drive, so she needs a driver (me, Lori, her daughter) and someone to take care of her in between the treatments.
Her treatments are for two weeks.
The ironic thing about this is that my mom spent many years making and donation quilts to the cancer floor in RHI, Kamloops. When she was offered a quilt, mom said "I make them to donate, not to take!"  Mom has a big heart and is willing to help any and all that needs it.  Mom has had an incredibly positive attitude through the last year.
Any help is appreciated!
Let's beat cancer together, one person at a time!
