In Loving Memory of Gaspar (En Memoria de Gaspar Martinez)

On Wednesday November 13, 2024 our family received the unfortunate news that my uncle, Gaspar Martinez Perez unexpectedly passed away. Gaspar was a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, his presence brought warmth and love to our family.

Unfortunately, Gaspar faced a long and difficult battle with renal failure and diabetes, which eventually led him to rely on dialysis. Despite his courageous fight, his health deteriorated, and he unexpectedly passed away.

To honor his memory and fulfill his final wish, we aim to bring him back to his beloved hometown of Santo Tomás de Arriba, Oaxaca, Mexico, alongside where his parents rest. To alleviate some of the financial stress for his wife and four children, we have created this GoFundMe campaign. The funds raised will be used to cover the unexpected costs associated with his passing,

El miércoles 13 de Noviembre de 2024, nuestra familia recibió la triste noticia del inesperado fallecimiento de mi tío, Gaspar Martínez Pérez. Gaspar era un alma amable y gentil que tocó la vida de todos los que conoció. Un devoto esposo, padre, hermano, tío y amigo, su presencia trajo calidez y amor a nuestra familia.

Desafortunadamente, Gaspar enfrentó una larga y difícil batalla contra la insuficiencia renal y la diabetes, lo que eventualmente lo llevó a depender de la diálisis. A pesar de su valiente lucha, su salud se deterioró y falleció inesperadamente.

Para honrar su memoria y cumplir su último deseo, nuestro objetivo es llevarlo de vuelta a su querida ciudad natal de Santo Tomás de Arriba, Oaxaca, México, junto a donde descansan sus padres. Para aliviar parte de la carga financiera de su esposa y sus cuatro hijos, hemos creado esta campaña de GoFundMe.
