Honor Jay's Memory: Funeral Fund

Hello- this is Rhonda.

Yesterday two State Troopers knocked on my door. They came to let me know my dear brother, Jay, was hit by a vehicle and air evacuated to a Trauma Hospital.

Yes, I know it meant this was really bad. No, I did not want to admit to myself it was.

My other brother, being hours closer, went to the hospital. When he arrived, the hospital staff were still valiantly attempting life saving care while he was in surgery.

With deepest sadness that too many can understand, My two brothers and I are forced to come to terms that he did not make it. He is on his next journey, and at peace.

Unfortunately, Jay currently had no insurance or benefits. We just left the funeral home. The cost for burial is $25,000.

We are respectfully requesting help to any extent you possibly can so Jay can be lovingly laid to rest as quickly as possible.

Jay was a community advocate, always involved in charities for veterans, law enforcement, children and men and women in need… And animals. Most especially the fur babies. If there is anything over the amount needed, on my word it will be donated to a reputable charity in his memory.

A Go Fund Me is not something I thought I would ever do- to help provide a proper service in accordance with religious beliefs and respectfully care for my brother, I am here.

I will end with what I have told those I spoke with personally- there are no words to express the appreciation for anyone who is able to help in this time of need. Even the words honoring Jay are comforting and what is getting me through this time where the sadness is so very overwhelming.
