Jorge's Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
After several months of battling a rare and fatal disease, our beloved Jorge Armando Garcia peacefully passed away on the night of November 23, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family. Jorge was loved by many and will be truly missed. He was one of a kind. Wherever he went he would light up the room with the countless jokes and stories. He volunteered as a youth soccer coach for several years and he taught these kids a lot more than just soccer. He was a mentor to them and they always looked up to him and respected him. He always put his family first. He was a hard worker, working multiple jobs in order to provide the best for his family. All of this came crashing down when he began to lose his vision several years ago. Suddenly he couldn't work anymore. Then his kidney disease progressed to the point where he needed to be on dialysis. After being on it for a little over a year he started to develop more medical complications and was in the hospital. We thought the worst news was when he was told he would need to have his feet amputated. It didn't get better. Next came shingles, then intubation and feeding tube. Though he did recuperate from the shingles and came off the feeding tube and ventilator, the final straw was the words we didn't want to hear. The doctor said "calciphylaxis". A rare disease with a high mortality rate and no cure. The amount of pain and suffering Jorge endured during the last few months as this horrible disease progressed was unbearable to watch until he finally decided to focus on pain control and comfort. Jorge fought until the very end, being the strong warrior he was until his body told him no more. Rest in Paradise to our greatest warrior. HIP HIP JORGE!!!
Please help his wife Christine offset some of the expenses that she will incur burying her beloved husband as she now will have the burden of a reduced income and 2 children to care for on her own. Thank you and God bless you all.
