Restoration of the Schooner William H. Albury
Donation protected
The historic wooden Schooner William H. Albury is being lovingly restored by one of the men who helped build her over fifty years ago with a goal of bringing the traditional skills of boatbuilding and sailing to the youth of the Abacos.
Sunk for the third time by Hurricane Dorian, the Wm. H., as she is affectionately called, has been raised and significant progress has already been made in gutting the interior and removing old finishes from the exterior, thanks to the heroic efforts of many dedicated volunteers.
More help is desperately needed as rebuilding commences, both in labor and financially. Qualified volunteers will be offered housing and meals during their stay on Man-O-War Cay, Abacos. Financial contributions will go exclusively to materials for much-needed repairs. Please help make this dream a reality.
